How to Uninstall Asterisk in Ubuntu
Here are the steps to uninstall asterisk in Ubuntu. There are different ways to uninstall Asterisk. We will look at each of them one by one.
Uninstall Asterisk
Open terminal and run the following command to uninstall Asterisk. This will not remove any dependencies or configuration files.
$ sudo apt-get remove asterisk
Uninstall Asterisk & its Dependencies
Open terminal and run the following command to remove asterisk as well as other dependent packages that are no longer required on your system. This will not remove any configuration files.
$ sudo apt-get autoremove asterisk
Purge Asterisk
If you want to delete configuration and/or data files, run the following command.
$ sudo apt-get purge asterisk
If you want to delete configuration and/or data files of its dependencies also, then run the following command.
$ sudo apt-get autoremove --purge asterisk
